SPACE ODDITY: CALIBRE 10 AND THE NEXT DECADE
For its 10th anniversary, Czapek could have gone for a highly complex movement. Instead, it chose to slow things down and focus on the essentials: hours and minutes, shown in an unexpected way. Calibre 10 comes from a simple question — how can time be displayed differently, without making it more complicated?
While Czapek’s first nine calibres were rooted in traditional watchmaking, this one marks a shift. It’s not designed as a one-off statement, but as a base that can grow and change over time. Future versions will be built from the ground up, with each complication fully integrated into the movement rather than added later.
Compact, automatic, and designed to adapt, Calibre 10 is about clarity and long-term thinking. It reflects what the brand has learned over the past decade — and sets the direction for the next.

A FLYING SAUCER INSPIRATION
“We wanted something forward-looking, but not extreme,” says Xavier de Roquemaurel. “A design that feels different from other Czapek watches, yet still clearly part of the brand.”
The jumping hour display set the starting point and shaped everything else. It naturally led to a minutes display shown through an aperture, which inspired the half-hunter concept and opened up space for guillochage. When the cover is closed, the focus is entirely on the hour, magnified under a bubble-shaped loupe at the centre of the case — like the cockpit of a flying saucer, positioned directly above the crystal.
Open the cover, and the watch reveals its inner workings. The mechanism and complications are fully on display, inviting a closer look and a better understanding of how it all comes together.
